Product Information
For vehicles with automatic transmissions
If your BMW is overheating and coolant is leaking from the radiator you will need to replace it immediately before serious engine damage can occur. Radiators can fail in a variety of ways ranging from road debris damage or just simple fatigue of the core and end tanks.
Only for cars with radiator part number 17117519209, which does not have a lower fitting for the front auto trans cooler hose. Check the part number of the original radiator before placing an order.
Radiator
Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.
