Part of your BMW's intake manifold

The intake manifold adjuster, more commonly referred to as a DISA valve, is responsible for helping your BMW produce the best possible output across the rev range. The DISA valve artificially lengthens the intake runner at low RPM's for more low end torque and shortens the intake runners at high RPM's for more top end power.

A failed/failing DISA valve has the following symptoms:

• Hesitation at low rpm
• Rough idle
• Lean codes
• Loud noises from engine bay

This is very easy to replace for the DIY'er. Simply remove the 2 torx bolts (M6X18), disconnect the electrical connector, and slide the failed unit out.
